State and local leaders celebrated breaking ground on a new affordable senior housing project in Las Vegas on Monday.

Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo, State Treasurer Zach Conine and other dignitaries took part in a shovel ceremony for theDecatur Rome Senior Apartments in the northwest valley.

Ovation Development Corp. said the $78 million project will bring 276 new affordable housing units to the market, including 38 “tiny homes” and 238 apartment units.
